BOOKINGS AND ENROLLMENT:
1.1. Reservations can be made through email, the M.I.S. Academy website by phone, or in
person.
1.2. Course registration is contingent upon full payment of the course fee or deposit (if
applicable) and all required paperwork completed by the delegate. Confirmation of course
placement will be sent via email by a member of M.I.S. Academy.
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT:
2.1. Our courses become non-refundable 24 hours after booking. If you notify us of your
intention to cancel within 24 hours of booking, you can receive a full refund of the course fee.
However courses canceled after this period will not be eligible for a refund.
COURSE ATTENDANCE & RESCHEDULING:
3.1. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory. Failure to attend without prior notice or arriving late
may result in the tutor denying access to the course, and no refund will be provided due to
missed content.
3.2. Once a course has commenced, the delegate must attend all sessions required to complete
it; there is no option to complete it at a later date, and absences are non-refundable.
3.3. Absence from any session may result in refusal of training acceptance, and the full course
fee remains payable.
3.4. Exceptions for absence due to extraordinary circumstances will be considered by M.I.S.
Academy upon presentation of supporting documentation and may offer a new course date with.
M.I.S. Academy necessitates the submission of supporting documents to substantiate the
exceptional circumstances claimed.
3.5 Failure to reschedule your course at least 72 hours prior to its commencement or
non-attendance, regarding your purchased package, M.I.S. Academy will necessitate payment
for a new booking should you opt to take the course later on.
3.6 in the event you cannot attend the scheduled course date, you must inform us at least 72
hours before your course commences. Should your course begin within this 72-hour window,
the standard reschedule fee will apply (refer to section 7).
3.7. It is a legal requirement to always have ID on you during your training. Failure to present
the necessary IDs and other required documents will result in rescheduling onto another course,
accompanied by a rescheduling fee (refer to section 7).
3.8 in the event of a course cancellation by M.I.S. Academy, you will promptly receive
notification, and efforts will be made to reschedule your course or provide a refund of the course
fee. Such cancellations may happen unexpectedly, especially if the minimum participant
requirement has not been met.
HOUSEKEEPING:
4.1. Any form of abuse directed towards staff or fellow trainees will result in immediate removal
from the course, with no refund provided.
CERTIFICATION:
5.1. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, only electronic certificates (e-certificates) will be issued
to delegates.
5.2. Your e-certificate will be sent to the email address provided during booking.
5.3. E-certificates will be emailed within 4 weeks following the receipt of your results.
5.4. Results may be available within 2 to 3 weeks.
EXAM RETAKES:
6.1. For SIA Security Training Courses, two free retakes are permitted.
6.2. Retake exams will occur within 2 – 3 weeks after we receive the exam papers.
6.3. Throughout the course, video recordings of delegates will be conducted for the purpose of
practical examinations.

7.1. SIA Door Supervisor – £70
7.2. SIA Door Supervisor Top Up – £60
7.3. Emergency First Aid at Work – £30
7.4. First Aid at Work – £50
CANDIDATE & EMPLOYER GUIDELINES
M.I.S. Academy courses involve physical demands. Employers must ensure candidates are fit
and capable of undertaking intensive study. (Candidates with disabilities are welcome, but
employers must ensure appropriate support in the workplace.)
